Lean On Me

Lean On Me

Kiley Walsh

Ivy Love skips through sunlight,
finding sparkle in everything bright.
Could a puddle hold a secret glow?
She’s certain it just might.

Eddie Nuff fumbles through questions and plans,
tangles in what-ifs, trips over his hands.
He searches for meaning in every small thing,
wondering what all the tomorrows might bring.

Wagsworth stands steady, a soul to rely,
A wisdomistic gaze, a worthy guide nearby.
They lean on his patience, his knowing old ways,
and he points them toward truth in quiet, small ways.

Will—the butterfly, gentle and near,
floats ahead with a whisper clear:
“You already have wings,” he seems to say,
“just remember them along the way.”

Together they wander, laugh, and see—
Ivy chasing maybes, Eddie asking “what could be?”
Wagsworth adding wisdom…Will floating free…
Where will they go next?

Let’s wait and see.
