The Other E.I.

The Other E.I.

The Other E.I.

I've been thinking about A.I. lately.

And E.I.

(No... not Employment Insurance.)

The Eddie & Ivy kind.

Funny enough...

they've also had me thinking a lot about Emotional Intelligence.

Children have a wonderful way of turning ordinary things into extraordinary afternoons.

Give them two tin cans and somehow they’ll discover that listening is half the fun.

Give the same two cans to adults, and we’ll spend our time trying to figure out how to make the game better, more efficient, faster…new and improved.

Somewhere in all of that...this painting started to take shape.

It came from the idea that good old-fashioned play are still worth making time for.

Eddie Nuff and Ivy Love enjoying a slow afternoon filled with curiosity and wonder.

Giving and receiving.

Listening…

waiting…

taking turns.

The ivy that connects them reaches, it climbs, it’s patient, it quietly holds on…

…just like love does.

Will always seems to land..

wherever someone is willing to listen.

Quietly in the middle.

And Wags, well he is always grounded.

Patiently listening for what’s underneath the words.

Maybe that's how the good stuff grows.

Not by having the right answer...but by becoming interested in someone else's.

We've spent so much time improving the conversation...
that we've forgotten to enjoy one.

Maybe we've confused
being connected...
with connection.

Artificial Intelligence can finish our sentences...

Emotional Intelligence waits for you to finish yours.

With patience,

Kiley
